Acupuncture – Follow-up Session
A 1 hr follow-up session to continue your care, review changes, and adapt your treatment
Service Description
Please note: Follow-up sessions are for existing clients only. If you are new to Chemin Holistique, please book an initial session first. Follow-up acupuncture sessions usually last around 1 hr. We begin with a short check-in about how you have been since your last session, any changes in your symptoms or general wellbeing, and what you would like support with that day. The treatment is adapted to your current presentation, using acupuncture within the framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element acupuncture. Each session may change over time depending on how you are feeling and responding. Fine, sterile, single-use needles are gently inserted at selected points. Sensations are usually mild and may include light tingling, warmth, heaviness, or deep relaxation. Your session may also include moxibustion, cupping, or Gua Sha where appropriate. I will always explain what is being used, and you are welcome to ask questions, pause, decline, or stop any part of the session at any time. To support a safe and appropriate session, please let me know about any changes in your health, medication, pregnancy status, injuries, medical treatment, or general wellbeing since your previous session. Acupuncture is offered as a complementary wellbeing approach. It may be used alongside conventional medical care, but it does not replace medical diagnosis, medical follow-up, or treatment from your doctor or healthcare professional.
Booking & Practice Policy
Please read this before requesting an appointment. All bookings are reviewed manually. Your appointment is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email. Online booking requests close 24 hours before the appointment time. For same-day or short-notice enquiries, please contact me by email or text message. Payment for in-person sessions is made at the beginning of the appointment by cash, card, or bank transfer, unless you are booking a package. Packaged Care: Packaged care is confirmed once payment has been received in advance. A 3-session package includes three acupuncture or Shiatsu follow-up sessions to be used within 8 weeks from the first appointment. Please request your first package appointment through the online booking system. The remaining sessions can ideally be arranged together during your first appointment. Packages are for one person only and cannot be transferred to another person. Once the first session has taken place, packages are generally non-refundable. Missed appointments or late cancellations may count as one of the package sessions. You can change, cancel, or reschedule your appointment online up to 24 hours before your appointment time. After this time, please contact me directly. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a partial or full session fee. Please arrive no earlier than 5–10 minutes before your appointment. I do not have a waiting area. If you arrive late, I may not be able to extend your session. The full session fee still applies, even if the treatment time is shortened. Please let me know before your session if there have been any significant changes to your health, medication, pregnancy status, injuries, surgery, or ongoing medical care. If you feel unwell, especially with a fever, contagious illness, or infection, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule.
